High blood pressure, if untreated, can lead to increased risk of stroke and heart attack. A common
definition of hypertension is diastolic blood pressure of 90 or more. (a) State the null and alternative
hypotheses for a physician who checks your blood pressure. (b) Define Type I and II error.
What are the consequences of each? (c) Which type of error is more to be feared, and by whom?

Null: If your diastolic blood pressure is 89 or less, your do not have hypertension.
Alternative: If your diastolic blood pressure is 90 or more, you have and should be treated for hypertension.

Type I: diastolic under 90 and treating for hypertension
Type II: diastolic of 90 or more and not treating

      c) type II should be more feared since it can lead to increased risk of stroke and heart attack.
