I’m a 35 year old female, and have had borderline high blood pressure for a few years now?

It’s usually around 140/90, but none of my doctors have ever prescribed meds to manage it.
Over the last week, I’ve not felt so good, so I’ve begun to monitor my BP at home. Within the last few days, its been around 170/100.
I’m trying to get in to see one of my docs in the next few days, but is this BP high enough to need to make a trip to the ER?
