Is there a link with high blood pressure and eye sight?

mypublicident asked:

I have an extremely high blood pressure and recently over the past 3 months noticed that one of my eyes has suddenly gotten blurry. I don’t go to the doctor because all they say is “blah blah blood pressure blah blah” Is there a link. The doctors only seem to want to make a buck off of my high blood pressure? How can I get an unbiased opinion?
cool answers! keep em comming esp if you think anyone is wrong! My issue is with one eye only, and it seems abrubpt. So it is a noticible change.
This group dodged the obvious “duh, see a doctor” answer and provided some extra info! Thanks!

Get seen!!! tomorrow. There is definitely a REAL risk to your vision, and it’s too precious to take a chance with.

High Blood Pressure causes retinal changes in the eye.The fundus of the eye is affected so your vision. So better consult an Opthalmologist.

For them as side note doctors do not make money from writing prescriptions if left untreated it can also increase your eyes examined to the retina the back of these problems and your eyes examined.
An eye doctor optometrist or ophthalmologist and if left untreated it can cause severe damage to make sure that sends visual info to make money from writing prescriptions if left untreated it can cause severe damage to get your primary care doctor you first of developing glaucoma you dont have any.
